UPVC Conservatory Frame

Convenient and cost-effective.

Opting for a UPVC frame over something like wood or aluminium? Some might perceive it as taking the cheaper option. Now – while they’re not exactly wrong – UPVC also requires a lot less maintenance than say, wood, for example. Whilst wood is a hardwearing material, it’ll require strengthening over the years. UPVC, however, is a far more lightweight material that is multi-chambered to aid in stability and insulation.

Also, a word of advice regarding UPVC. It’s generally far cheaper and easier to produce than other materials. Sadly, this has led to hundreds of ill-equipped companies going into business, only to shut up shop a few years later. UPVC was also initially intended for windows and doors and was not intended for structural frames. Whilst there’s been a range of innovations in recent years, before buying, ensure your supplier and installer is a reputable firm. Wherever possible, check their trading history and don’t sign on the dotted line unless you’re comfortable!

Conservatory Roofing

LEKA – Roofing Excellence through Innovation

All our conservatory roofs utilise solar control glass. This design allows sunlight to radiate through whilst reflecting a bulk of the sun’s heat. The interior then stays bright and much cooler than would ordinarily be the case if standard glass were used. That’s partly because we utilise Leka Systems in our bespoke builds. Leka’s argon filled glass units contain low e-coating on the inside to retain the warmth in the winter.

Leka has over 45 years of experience in providing thousands of high-quality home improvement solutions across the UK. Using glass-reinforced plastic or “GRP”, Leka employs a structurally-tested alternative to standard glass. Thanks to this extremely lightweight GRP rafter system, installation is far more efficient. Plus, it comes with various tile or slate roof options to suit your creative decisions for your home.
