How much damaged is caused when replacing windows

Replacing windows, is a highly skilled job. All windows have been fitted differently depending on age of the original installation and type of window.

So, removing them carefully can be testing.

At Boyland windows all our operatives are qualified and have many years’ experience, so we find very little damage if nay is caused.

I would always suggest you fit your windows before you decorate or tile as this will give you the best finish, but it’s not a requirement.

Generally, on the inside we will fit an internal trim to cover the small edge breakout of plaster, but again this isn’t a necessity, sometimes the customer is happy to surface fill the gap for decoration.

On the outside, if we are removing old timber windows, where the bottom part of the window (cill) is built into the brickwork or render, this will need a patch repair, which we carry out.

On extremely rare occasions where the plaster on the inside is already blown, we may need to get our plaster to re- skim to reveal, but this would be discussed with you.

But generally its window out, new windows, in trim and seal, hoover and clean and its like we never where there, apart from shiny new windows.
